Corey Cooper, a 3-star wide receiver from Raleigh, N.C., has de-committed from Louisville. Cooper sent out a Tweet earlier today, claiming that he is exploring other options.
Cooper verbally committed to Louisville in later July following an unofficial visit to the school. There has been some concern surrounding his commitment in recent weeks. Cooper had maintained that he is committed to Charlie Strong, but wasn’t officially listed with Louisville’s 2013 class.
This certainly appears to be a move made by Louisville in order to make room for other recruits. I believe we’re about to see Charlie Strong’s recruiting really take off now that the Cards are heading to the ACC.
Cooper has scholarship offers from UConn, South Carolina, North Carolina, N.C. State, Miami, Illinois, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State, Maryland, Minnesota, Kentucky and ECU.
