Dawg Pound Daily:
Browns LB Andra Davis recently re-worked his contract, but not in the the way most athletes are doing now a days, he took a pay cut of nearly $1.5 Million and gave up two years on his contract to boot. Davis did have a down year last season, and was sat in favor of Leon Williams at times as well this past season.
However, Davis spent his summer in Atlanta with Browns RB Jamal Lewis, who has a crazy off-season workout program, and came into camp stronger and 5 lbs bigger too.
Davis is a good player, and honestly I felt he suffered the most along with Kamerion Whimbley from the poor play at D-line last season, I look for both to improve back to their 2006 forms.

This is Why Sports Fans Drinka??Me Personally
This is a segment I like to call "This is Why I Drink…" and the posts fall into three categories:
1. Things that piss me off (Yankees fans). Your browser may not support display of this image.
2. Things that baffle my mind (Jamal Lewis doing time for selling drugs then winning a Super Bowl).
3. Things that deeply, deeply upset me (The Cubs).

Josh Cribbs: 'Some Guys Quit'
National Football League Blogcast, NFL BlogcastThe Cleveland Browns have become pretty vocal after last Thursday night's devastating loss to the Denver Broncos. First, running back Jamal Lewis voiced his displeasure, saying that some players needed to "check their egos at the door." Today, ...
Jimmy Kimmel Gives Adrian Peterson Too Much Credit
I'm not sure if all of you have witnessed the travesty now gracing the airwaves. Basically, it's a new DirecTV commercial that has Jimmy Kimmel walking around and talking about Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and his record-breaking rushing performance against the San Diego Chargers last season. I'm cool with that, except for the adjective Kimmel uses...
Cleveland Browns 24, New York Jets 18
The Browns improved to 8-5 on the season with a hard fought victory in the rain over the pesky Jets. Derek Anderson had a solid game as he completed 16 of 29 passes for 185 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 interception. Jamal Lewis had a monster game as he carried the ball 21 [...]
Quitters?
By now, I'm sure you've all seen the quotes. Jamal Lewis opined that:This is the NFL, you can't call it quits until the game is over. But it looks to me like some people called it quits before that. Denver was down, but they didn't call it quits. They kept their heads up and they [...]
Cleveland Browns 27, Houston Texans 17
The Browns finally won a game that didn’t come down until the last play. They did it by controlling the football (35:23) and playing good defense for once. Derek Anderson had another solid game as he completed 24 of 35 passes for 253 yards with 2 TD passes and 1 interception. Jamal Lewis ...
Lewis To Browns
Jamal Lewis is out of Baltimore and into Cleveland. Besides the extra $1.5 mmillion the Browns are spending on him, Lewis decided to leave the Ravens because they are becoming a passing team while the Browns are building an offensive line to secure a running game.
Naturally the question arises with this move, who do the Browns go after in the first round? If you watch ESPN you...
Landry Should Return This Season
The Baltimore Sun reports that Ravens strong safety Dawan Landry is expected to return this season after sustaining a spinal cord concussion in Sunday's 28-10 victory over the Cleveland Browns.
Landry was released from the hospital Monday and will wear a cervical collar for at least a week.
His stability tests are "normal," coach John Harbaugh said."He'll...
What is Going On With the Browns?
I like many of us was completely taken in with the Browns' improbable rise last season. Especially since I was able to trade Kevin Jones for DA in my fantasy league. Going hand and hand with DA's rise was the huge improvement of Kellen Winslow and Braylon Edwards and the rejuvenation of Jamal Lewis.
But have you seen them this preseason? I know it is just preseason but the...
Week in Review
The Falcons released center Doug Datish on Monday, the 2007 sixth-round draft pick from Ohio State.
The Falcons agreed to terms with third-round draft pick Harry Douglas, a wide receiver, Friday.
The team made several other moves, signing free-agent safety Deke Cooper and releasing offensive tackle Michael Butterworth, defensive end Derrick Jones, safety Jamal Lewis and offensive [...]
Ohio State Football: SI Cover Jinx?
I'm typically not one to harp on the superstitions of the whole SI cover. Madden cover, sure. Just ask Michael Vick and Donovan McNabb. But SI? Not at all. The Browns' Jamal Lewis made the cover last year and the Browns put up one of the more memorable seasons in recent history. But how often does the #2 team make the cover, with one, three and four being on the inside flap...
