The parents of University of Tulsa former football player Devin Adair have filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the school regarding Adair's death in 2006. Adair died after football drills in the spring of 2006 due to necrotizing fascitis (flesh-eating bacteria). The parents of Adair said Tulsa's health care providers were negligent in treating Adair. They are asking for upwards of $75,000, but "it's hard to put a value on your child," their attorney said.
