Jeremy Shockey should not play next season as a Giant. They don't want him, he knows it, and it's time to move on. Tom Couglin has not had an easy four years. He endured the barbs of the New York Media. He dodged bullets named Tiki. (right after he taught him how to hang on to the football) He brought in Kurt Warner. (pretty sure he wanted us to forget about that) He battled Terrell Owens on two different rival teams in the postseason. (1-1 head to head in the playoffs by the way) He won the freakin' Superbowl! He also was forced to put up with a very loud-mouthed Tight End. Coughlin has won the right to demand respect from everyone but I don't think he's going to get anything from Shockey. Too bad for Shockey; the Giants won a Superbowl without him. As a talent, Shockey brings a lot to the table. He's a big fast target that creates match up problems on the football field. He plays with a crazy reckless passion. check it He also posesses the intangible ability to energize the fans and his team. As a tight end though, he's often required to perform other, less glamorous assignments... namely blocking. Shockey doesn't like to block. He likes to catch the ball and level defensive backs. When he feels he's doing too much blocking he has no problem making it known he thinks the coach is making a mistake. He's certainly never had a problem throwing Coughlin under a bus. Remember this? "We got outplayed and outcoached. Write that down," ...And so we have. Betcha Coach Coughlin remembers this too. It seems to me that everything Shockey does well for the Giants, he ends up destroying with his attitude. Once his attitude left the huddle, the Giants went out and won a gosh darn Superbowl. During the big game, Coughlin wanted Shockey's toxic attitude as far away from the team as possible. Goldilocks wasn't even allowed on the sideline. Despite what other people have said, I think that was certainly a personal decision. The Giants won the Superbowl. Shockey keeps barking. Too bad big guy. You've got no ground to stand on anymore. Why on Earth would anyone side with you against the man who beat Tom Brady? Shockey knows his time is up. He wanted to go to New Orleans and the Saints would be a perfect fit. They are, however, in the same conference and they have the potential to be big time contenders. Why would the Giants give them another weapon? (I can't believe I'm about to say this... here goes) If Shockey knows what's good for his career, he'll follow Chad Johnson's leave and show up for work. The Giants already proved they don't need him. What leverage does he have? They... won... the Superbowl... without... him...

Top 10 Eagles Career Receiving TD Leaders

See how many of the Eagles career receiving TD leaders you can name in 5 minutes. Last names accepted as responses. With another few games in Eagles green, Terrell Owens would've been on this list. Pathetic.

T.O. WANTS GUARANTEED PLAYER CONTRACTS

The NFL Players Association hopes to groom an eventual replacement for Executive Director Gene Upshaw. Maybe Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens wants the job. Owens chimed in on Wednesday regarding the fact that player contracts aren't guaranteed. "I hear a lot of players complain and gripe about the fact that we don't have guaranteed contracts," Owens said...

Playoff Predictions

The Cardinals shocked the football world last weekend by putting the smack down on the Panthers. Unfortunately for them, they still have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, giving up an average of 26.6 points per game. Unlike the Panthers, the Eagles will not take the Cardinals lightly, and if Fitzgerald or Boldin happen to make a big play, the Eagles will not fall apart. Both...

NFL Free Agency: Browns are Bringing in the Jets

With the NFL free agency season still underway, we are finally starting to see a few more names added to the roster for the Cleveland Browns. Sure, they are not exactly the Albert Haynesworths or Terrell Owens’, but any fan that anticipated big name free agents this year was bound to be disappointed. But with [...]

Chad Johnson Demands Trade

According to ESPN, Chad Johnson said, "I want to be traded before the draft, and if that doesn't happen, I want to be traded as soon as possible. I don't intend on reporting to anything."  I wonder who's the driving force in this situation, Johnson or the Bengals?  Regardless, a team in need of a ...

The Oakland Raiders would be unwise to make a move for Chad Johnson

Chad Johnson of the Cincinnati Bengals has made every move possible to get himself traded to another team. The Oakland Raiders under Al Davis are known for taking the malcontents and giving them another chance allowing them to succeed. That was a reputation that was well earned back in the Raiders' salad days, but in recent years the Raiders have not been so successful with those moves.

Ocho Cinco a No Go?

Chad Johnson in Maroon and Black, er, Burgundy and Gold? Not so fast.Bengals coach Marvin Lewis was fairly adamant in insisting that his team's mercurial receiver would not be traded: "There will be no trade of Chad Johnson. . .No. 1, the guy has a contract through 2011, OK. (NEW) Rumors Abound About Eagles-Cardinals Making a Deal

On the same day that the Philadelphia Eagle's signed CB Asante Samuel, speculation has erupted that the Eagles could be sending their first round pick in this year's draft and CB Lito Shepherd to the Arizona Cardinals for WR Larry Fitzgerald. If the rumor has legs, than both side could be in the making for vast improvement. The Cardinals recently moved CB Antrelle Rolle...

Saints Beat Packers - Drew Brees On Pace to Break Dan Marino's Season Record

Yes, I am an Indiana fan and an Indiana grad, and I am also an unabashed fan of Drew Brees. Drew Brees was phenomenal. He finished 20-26 with 4 TDs, no INTs, and 323 passing yards. That is a sick 12.4 yards per completion. For the season, Drew Brees has now passed for 3574 yards through 11 games. That is good for 324.9 yards per game. If Brees is able to maintain that pace...

Terrell Owens Sounds Thrilled to be in Buffalo … Not

Forgive me for that lame reference — I just saw Wayne’s World the other day for the first time in forever. Much like Jonathan Papelbon, one of the nice things about Terrell Owens is that he’s accessible to the media for the most part. He did a station in Buffalo the favor of [...]

Minute Mettle

At the time of the American Revolution, Minutemen were called such because they only needed a minute to get ready to fight. Similarly, all Tom Brady and Adam Vinatieri need is a minute to win a game. I hope Big Ben was taking notes in the final 1:21 yesterday, because Brady was teaching "Being the Be...

Hello Yard Barker, Predator48 fans, Washington Redskins fans, and those who just want to check out the Chris Horton Daily Life.  Currently I am hanging out and getting ready for a big game against the Bengals.
