UF's Riley Cooper Blazing His Path
"That's a goal of mine," he said. "Coming in here, there weren't a lot of people really saying that one of my attributes is speed. They were saying I'm a physical player and probably a possession receiver. I wanted to prove that's not true. That's what I'm trying to do."
Cooper is quickly distancing himself from the perception. He's doing it with his blazing speed. Actually, stunning speed - because at 6-foot-3 and a muscular 216 pounds, no one sees it coming. He stunned Western Kentucky's secondary last Saturday just like he stunned his new teammates when he first arrived at Florida a little more than a year ago. "I knew he'd be fast, but I didn't think he'd be as fast as he is," senior wide receiver Andre Caldwell said. "There aren't too many his size who can run like that. It was a shocker to me." Shocking, stunning. You name it.
