The Iowa Hawkeyes face Indiana this week in their third Big Ten conference game and are heavy favorites to win this game.
Iowa has clear advantage in this game on the offensive side of the ball as the Hoosiers have one of the worst defenses in the Big Ten. Teams have been able to do whatever they want on offense against the Hoosiers because they are having trouble stopping the run. The Hoosiers have had some success on offense but there problem all season has been on the defensive side of the ball.
Here is a look at the numbers and how Iowa matches up with Indiana.
Iowa’s offense is going to be able to score a lot points in this game and their key to victory will be to get the ground game going. Marcus Coker is beginning to run with more confidence and against Northwestern he rushed for 124 yards. He will have a very good opportunity to rush for over 100 yards in this game against a team that gives up a lot on the ground.
Indiana allowed both Illinois and Wisconsin to rush for over 300 yards in their last two games. Last week, Wisconsin’s Montee Ball averaged over 10 yards per carry as he rushed for 142 yards against the Hoosiers.
Iowa should be able to run the ball with a lot success in this game and I look for Marcus Coker to have a very good afternoon.
