The next impressive athlete that has committed to the University of Alabama football program is training with a former Crimson Tide national champion.
Jaylen Mbakwe , a five-star defensive back from Clay-Chalkville High School, is working with 2009 BCS National Champion, Justin Woodall to prepare for his senior year. Woodall, a former safety, has the five-star crafting his footwork in ladder drills to become a fluid defender. The 6-foot, 170-pounder is very athletic, but he does not have a specified position. According to Justin Smith, the Director of Scouting for Touchdown Alabama Magazine, Mbakwe has served as a wide receiver, cornerback, and quarterback for Clay-Chalkville. He will be asked to play cornerback for the Crimson Tide, so he has to play it more in the fall.

Mbakwe has the potential to be a marquee player, but we will see how he grows through his senior year of high school.
