Alabama Crimson Tide Starting Offensive Tackle Reverses Decision; Will Return To School In The Fall
Gary Cosby Jr.-USA TODAY Sports

The Alabama Crimson Tide had a rocky start to the offseason. When legendary coach Nick Saban announced he was retiring, a wave of players left via the transfer portal. One of those players was starting tackle Kadyn Proctor . After starting 14 games for the team, he decided to leave for the Iowa Hawkeyes. However, in a stunning turn of events, Proctor has reversed his decision and will return to the Crimson Tide in the fall.

Alabama Crimson Tide Get OT Kadyn Proctor Back

New head coach Kalen DeBoer has to be happy to hear this. When Proctor transferred, it was one of the big losses for this team. The Freshman All-American was set to be the future of the offensive line. Alabama has a history of creating great linemen, but he decided to return to his home state of Iowa. Something happened in two months. When the spring transfer portal opens on April 15, Proctor will re-enroll at Alabama and return to Tuscaloosa.

Just The Beginning

College football recruiting insider Hayes Fawcett tweeted that this is just the beginning. The first transfer portal window was crazy, with many players deciding to look for greener pastures. It seems the spring transfer portal will have just as many fireworks. The new college football landscape is built on player movement. The NCAA has loosened the rules on player movement, so every transfer portal season is set to be nuts.

This is a huge win for the Alabama Crimson Tide. They get one of the top offensive linemen in the nation. Kalen DeBoer is looking to continue the Crimson Tide dynasty.
