Alabama Crimson Tide long snapper Carson Tinker gave head coach Nick Saban a hug after the former walk-on was told he’s getting a full athletic scholarship. “I gave him a hug,” Tinker said. “I think that made him feel a little awkward.” Tinker was literally thrown into the national spotlight by an F-5 tornado that ripped through Tuscaloosa last year. He and his girlfriend, Ashley Harrison, were thrown from the closet where they huddled for safety.
