The case against Oregon

Oregon is off to a hot start, but are they a true national title contender? Photo: USA Today Sports We’ve seen this movie before. In each of the past three seasons, Oregon has jumped out to a blazing start in September, beating mediocre opponents to a pulp with ease. Updated Heisman Odds: Marcus Mariota is now an overwhelming favorite

Earlier this offseason you could’ve gotten Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota at 16/1 to win the Heisman. Now, at least for the time being, you can get him at valueless price of 8/5. It's the best indicator yet of what kind of coach he will be after a 4-0 start against the bottom half of the schedule. Conditions...
