BYU QB Commit Enoch Watson Leads Arizona in Passing Yards

BYU was the first school to extend quarterback Enoch Watson a scholarship. Enoch, the younger brother of 2023 signee Pierson Watson, committed to the Cougars back in June.  Enoch was a lesser-known recruit that played for a run-heavy offense in his high school career. He had flashed his throwing potential at the Under Armour showcase where he won the accuracy challenge and was named co-MVP, but he didn't have a lot of high school film. BYU was keeping tabs on Enoch ever since his freshman year when he came to one of BYU's Summer camps.

After his junior season, the Watson family moved from Flag Staff to Queen Creek and Enoch enrolled at a new high school: American Leadership Academy. ALA is coached by former BYU legends Ty Detmer and Max Hall. Enoch won the starting quarterback spot and through four games, he has showcased his ability to be a prolific passer.

Enoch currently leads the state of Arizona in total passing yards and passing yards per game with 297.5 per game. He has also thrown for 15 touchdowns. Watson is throwing for more yards than highly-recruited quarterbacks like four-star Demond Williams and Oregon commit Luke Moga.
