Only one thing was worse than the economy in the motor city and that was the Lions in 2008. The first franchise to go 0-16 in a season should have striped them of their right to host a Thanks giving game but it did not. From injuries like Jon Kitna going down to the trade of wide receiver Roy Williams the Lions saw much change in one season. All was not a complete loss for the Lions how ever because at least one star burned bright for Detroit and that star was Calvin Johnson. 2nd year wide receiver (or any receiver) aren't supposed to have a 1331 yard, 17.1 average per catch and 12 touchdown season on a team like this. But Johnson is truly the exception to the rule. You can take it to the bank...
