Stanley Hunter’s football career at Clemson came to an abrupt end this season when he took a medical hardship due to an increase in seizures connected with epilepsy. That's right - epilepsy.Hunter, who was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2004, said “This past spring the seizures got a lot more serious. It wasn’t really a big problem because I changed my medication. After I changed it, (the seizures) were still happening. It got kind of scary.”To honor Hunter, a different Clemson player will wear Hunter’s #17 each game. Last week sophomore linebacker Brandon Maye (normally #20) had that honor and he ended up being the ACC’s Defensive Player of the Week. This week the honor falls to sophomore quarterback Willy Korn. The 5-foot-11, 225-pound linebacker continues to work with the Tigers as a student-coach.
