Michigan (2-2)  @ Purdue (3-1) (4 p.m. ET, BTN)   Line: Michigan -3 Last meeting: Michigan 36-14 (2011) 3 Players to Watch: 1) Denard Robinson  (QB, Michigan): On average, he chucks up two picks per game. Last time out against Notre Dame, Robinson threw four intercpetions. He is increasingly becoming a liability for the Michigan offense. If Michigan is going to start out conference play on a high note, Robinson must improve. 2) Kawaan Short (DT, Purdue): It's not often that you see the name of a defensive player listed here, but that should stress Short's importance in the gameplan. Short plays an integral part in bringing pressure up front. If he can force Robinson to rush a few of his decisions, the Boilermakers can reap the benefits. 3) Antavian Edison (WR, Purdue): Edison has been the most prolific of Purdue's trio of threats at receiver, hauling in 24 grabs and five touchdowns in four games. He will give the Wolverines something to think about defensively. Final Analysis: Purdue has played extremely well at home. A win over Michigan would confirm the Boilermakers' identity as serious contenders for a trip to Indianapolis. The defenses that have had success against the Wolverines have forced Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson to throw the football on a regular basis. Robinson has seemed inept when his option to run is taken from him. A bye week gave the Wolverines a chance to regroup after a less than ideal start to the season. Taking care of the football will be a top priority . If the Michigan offensive line can hold its ground against a tough Boilermaker defensive front, the Wolverines will be tough to beat. My pick: Michigan 35, Purdue 21 Rest of Staff's Picks: Andy: Purdue 27, Michigan 24 Cole: Purdue 31, Michigan 24 Kevin: Michigan 37, Purdue 35 Will: Michigan 27, Purdue 24
