The stalemate between the Jaguars and rookie DE Derrick Harvey continues and HC Jack Del Rio blames agent Ken Kremer for steering his client the wrong way. "There is a sizable amount of money out there," Del Rio said. "I'm assuming that the person has a real passion to play football. The only thing that would stand in his way would be an agent trying to make sure he can recruit next year's class based on how he does this year."
Asked how he's dealing with the holdout, Del Rio said, "Emotionally, I've got to detach from it. It's like a guy that's been injured and his football team is going to move on. Hopefully, at some point, he wants to join us and decides to do so, but I don't have any control over that. He's certainly within his rights to do what he thinks is best for him, and we've got to do what we think is best for us."
Harvey won't be counted when the Jaguars cut their roster to 75 players today.
"There is no him,'' Del Rio said. "He's not involved in the count."
