Indiana University improved to 2-0 after blowing out Massachusetts 45-6. The Hoosiers looked exceptional in all phases of the game but they lost starting quarterback Tre Roberson for the season with a broken leg.
Losing a player like Roberson is a huge blow to a young team that was finally starting to build some momentum. Roberson is not just a talented player, he was also becoming a leader in the field and the locker room. He is the kind of player that will pick his team up on his back and carry them to victory.
Before his injury, Roberson was tearing apart the Minutemen. He was 6-of-13 for 76 yards and a touchdown. The sophomore also ran for 114 yards and two touchdowns. Losing him is a big blow to the offense.
The good news is that Roberson won't miss out on a year of eligibility. Coach Kevin Wilson stated that he will be redshirted and thus should be around for three more season.
