The Atlanta Falcons officially announced some coaching changes for the 2023 season Monday. Former Alabama safety, Nick Perry is now listed by the team as an assistant wide receiver coach after being the assistant defensive backs coach last year.

Perry won two national championships as a member of the Crimson Tide in 2011 and 2012, and two in 2017 and 2020 as a coach.

In his five years in Tuscaloosa, he totaled 119 tackles, two interceptions, and nine pass deflections. Perry went undrafted in 2015 but was signed to the Baltimore Ravens practice squad. After a short stint with the Ravens and Philadelphia Eagles in 2016 he joined the Alabama staff in 2017 as a graduate assistant.

Perry worked his way up from graduate assistant to a defensive analyst for the 2019 and 2020 seasons. In 2021 the Atlanta Falcons came knocking and Perry answered, accepting a job as a defensive backs coach in the NFL.
