As expected, the Alabama Crimson Tide have kicked all four players who were involved in the beating and robbing of two students, off the team according to College Football Talk. Tide head coach Nick Saban said that all four players were no longer associated with the program.  Hayes, Pettway and Williams were charged with two counts each of second-degree robbery, with those charges classified as felonies. Williams was also charged with fraudulent use of a credit/debit card, one day after he was charged with carrying a pistol without a license in an unrelated incident. We will now wait and see if all four resurface at other Division 1 programs, or if any of the four drop down to FCS schools and try to redeem themselves from there.

The Golden Age of Alabama Crimson Tide football

Nick Saban and Alabama have brought Tide Nation a true-to-life dynasty. Here's an awesome highlight video of The Golden Age.

Johnson, Saban have 'strong' relationship

Kerryon Johnson is one of the top class of 2015 prospects in the South and he’s already one of the best in the state of Alabama regardless of class. With a few offers already on the table, he took a trip to Tuscaloosa over the weekend to experience Alabama’s Junior Day where he met with Nick Saban once again.

Nick Saban boots four from Alabama

Four players for two-time defending national champion Alabama have been dismissed from school following their arrests after two robberies on campus. University spokeswoman Deborah Lane said Wednesday that linebackers D.J. Pettway and Tyler Hayes, safety Eddie Williams and H-back Brent Calloway are no longer enrolled after a judicial review. Crimson Tide coach Nick Saban had earlier...

Alabama offers scholarship to an eighth-grader

It’s no secret that as things stand, the Alabama Crimson Tide are the top program in college football right now. And if Nick Saban has his way, that should extend well into the 2020 season. Why 2020 in specific? Well, that’s because according to ESPN.com and a number of other outlets, Alabama went ahead and offered a scholarship to a young man named Dylan Moses...

Bama, LSU Offer Scholarship To 8th Grade RB Phenom Dylan Moses

One of the keys to reigning supreme in the South Eastern Conference is signing the best recruits.  In order to get those recruits to have establish relationships with them early in hopes of closing them later. LSU and Alabama are not only two of the top programs in the SEC, but also in America.  So it’s no surprise that both universities got the jump on recruiting 8th grade running...

HOT SPROTS TAKES

HOT SPROTS TAKES is finally back after getting used to the new job. Enjoy! The Alabama Crimson Tide and Nick Saban have offered a scholarship to an 8th grader. [College Football Section] Shamaro Thomas took a dive at the combine. [GIFSection] Mayor Burnsy didn’t like this article (for obvious reasons) and decided to destroy the writer. It was a nice little read. [With Leather]...

Alabama, LSU have both offered a scholarship to 8th-grader Dylan Moses

Eventually, doctors in the maternity ward are going to be asking college coaches like Nick Saban and Les Miles to give mothers a little space when their sons are coming out of the womb. Yes, that’s an exaggeration. But how young is too young for an athlete to be recruited to play a sport in college? For many coaches, the answer to that question is younger than 13 years old. On...

Alabama has an interesting sign posted in new weight room

At this point, we’ve basically run out of ways to say “Alabama is really good at this whole football thing.” That tends to happen after a team wins three titles in four years (let alone does it in the current climate of college football), finishes with three of the last four top ranked recruiting classes, and just graduated a class that won a staggering 50 games. So yeah...

8th Grader Alabama Offered Scholarship Deserves It

When I first heard about Alabama offering an 8th grade kid a scholarship I thought they were nuts. It reminded me of Lane Kiffin pulling a similar stunt not too long ago, except I thought Nick Saban was a genius and not crazy. As it turns out the man is a crazy genius. Calling the 8th grader, Dylan Moses, a division I college prospect may be a bit presumptuous and early...

Tide Rolling to Washington

Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide will be heading to Washington on Wednesday, March 6, to visit with President Barack Obama to be honored for their 2013 BCS National Championship win over Notre Dame.  This is Alabama’s third trip in four years to meet the president and visit the White House.  In a press release, the White House stated Obama will “continue his tradition...
