The Big East Defensive Player of the Week award will stay with the Louisville Cardinals for the third consecutive week.
Freshman linebacker Keith Brown was given then honor this week for his performance in Louisville’s 45-17 win over Temple. Brown had eight total tackles against the Owls and recovered a fumble that he forced.
Brown has played in just seven of the nine games this season and is third on the team in total tackles with 50. He has led the team in tackles in three games this season. Brown is definitely making his care for Big East defensive freshman of the year.
Linebacker Preston Brown won the award last year, while defensive end Lorenzo Mauldin was honored two weeks ago.
