The Big East Defensive Player of the Week award will stay with the Louisville Cardinals for the third consecutive week. Freshman linebacker Keith Brown was given then honor this week for his performance in Louisville’s 45-17 win over Temple. Brown had eight total tackles against the Owls and recovered a fumble that he forced. Brown has played in just seven of the nine games this season and is third on the team in total tackles with 50. He has led the team in tackles in three games this season. Brown is definitely making his care for Big East defensive freshman of the year. Linebacker Preston Brown won the award last year, while defensive end Lorenzo Mauldin was honored two weeks ago.

Louisville football still on track to set attendance record

Might want to take it a little easy on the 10,391 people who didn’t show up at the University of Louisville-Temple football game Saturday. The weather outlook for the game was dismal, as has been the case with the three most recent home games. Many of the absentees were probably still recovering from the soggy overtime win against Cincinnati. The cold, damp and dreary script gets...

Video: Adrian Bushell Says The Team Is Using Disrespect From National Media As Motivation

Following Louisville’s 45-17 win over Temple, senior cornerback Adrian Bushell talked about a video that was put together and shown to the team prior to the game. Strong won't start politicking for the Cards

Jody Demling of CardinalAuthority.com broke the news earlier this afternoon that the University of Louisville has lost their appeal with the NCAA in regards to the eligibility of freshman center Mangok Mathiang. Mathiang was ruled ineligible by the NCAA clearing house in mid October. Louisville appealed the decision, but unfortunately the clearing house stood firm with their decision...

Rick Pitino Has A Solid History With Transfers; Luke Hancock Will Keep The Streak Alive

Will Montrezl Harrell Steal Chane Behanan’s Starting Spot?

As I’ve mentioned numerous times over the past few weeks, this year’s Louisville team has a lot of talent. When you consider how the season ended last year, it’s hard to argue that Chane Behanan wouldn’t be expected to be Louisville’s top returning player. Unfortunately, the majority of the discussion regarding Chane Behanan has been about his mysterious suspension...
