The verbal commitment of Faton Bauta—the "Tim Tebow-like" quarterback out of Dwyer High School—has to peak the interest of more than a few Georgia Bulldog recruitniks and fans as it would seem to suggest that current Bulldog backup, Hutson Mason, won't be in Athens much longer. Mason, the former Lassiter High School stand-out who signed with the Bulldogs in 2010 has already hinted at the possibility of a transfer. And, as it has become more and more evident that he won't be given an opportunity to take many meaningful snaps sitting behind a settled-in Aaron Murray, the writing may be on the wall for him that he may get on the field a lot quicker elsewhere. The timing of this signing could just be a happy coincidence as Bauta is listed as an ATH (athlete), but by Bauta's own admission, he was offered as a quarterback.
