A win on Saturday in their ACC finale against Syracuse would give the bowl-eligible Boston College Eagles their first eight-win season since 2009.
One of the reasons why the Eagles have improved dramatically from last year’s disappointing 2-10 campaign has been the phenomenal performance of senior running back Andre Williams.
Williams enters the game as one of the top Heisman Trophy candidates. He leads all FBS players with 2,073 rushing yards, and has also tallied 16 rushing touchdowns. Another strong game on Saturday would increase his chances of becoming the first player in Boston College history to win college football’s most prestigious award.
