The Duck Stops Here:
Imagine Chance Allen, Bralon Addison and Josh Huff lining up at receiver at Oregon, with defenses having to contend with a Texas twister of speed and play-making ability. Addison and Chance are visiting this weekend, and if they can crack the lineup before Huff takes a crack at the NFL, the Ducks would have a lineup at wideout that'd draw howls of envy from Waco to College Station.
Allen is a 6-3, 190-lb. burner from Missouri City, Texas. The Ducks are also trying to add Lone Star product Thomas Johnson, so the road to the Autzen end zone could be crowded with long necks and gun racks for the foreseeable future.
One encouraging sign: Allen's highlight video starts with blocking, meaning he could be a great fit for the physical possession receiver role filled by Garren Strong, Drew Davis and Lavasier Tuinei over the last few years.

Darron Thomas was a very productive and successful quarterback at Oregon, but he wasn't much of a threat in the zone read, particularly late in the 2010 season and for most of 2011.
Bryan Bennett rides the mesh longer and shows more confidence and elusiveness running the football. He'll take off out of the pocket when he sees a running lane, and he's displayed some nifty...
On this week's episode of PHATDUX TV, host Eddie Bacon recaps the Oregon men's basketball team's victories over USC and UCLA.
Bryan Harper had an in-home visit with Oregon coach Chip Kelly on Wednesday night and the three-star athlete from Ontario (Calif.) Colony said things went great.

We took a look early this week at some of the more interesting uncommitted players and where we thought they were trending. Our Alabama guy also chimed in with a couple of articles about the Tide's DL targets and some thoughts on the new SEC signee limit rule and how it affects the recruits. With National Signing Day just around the corner, let's take a look around the world...
