Injury Update: Cotton, Rodriguez to Miss Michigan Game In his regular Thursday briefing with the press, Nebraska Coach Bo Pelini confirmed that guard Andrew Rodriguez and tight end Ben Cotton will miss Saturday's game with Michigan due to injuries. Rodriguez has an injured foot, Cotton a shoulder. Former walk on Seung Hoon Choi will get the start at guard (a position where NU finds itself suddenly depleted) and Kyler Reed and Jake Long will be the primary tight ends for NU on Saturday. What impact does this have on the game? Don't be shocked to see NU take to the air more often. Michigan has a stout defensive front, and Cotton is widely considered the better blocker among the NU tight ends. Reed - the better receiver - may see increased opportunities in the passing game.
