Iowa QB James Vandenberg took down a 21-point buck from a tree stand near Keokuk, Iowa. Vandenberg, an avid sportsman that hunted a bear this summer, was bow hunting during his off week and captured the huge buck, above. “My dad’s hunted 35 years, he’s killed a ba-gillion big deer, which are on our walls, and he’s never killed one this big. Not even close,” Vandenberg said. “This is kind of a once-in-a-lifetime deer.” He said the rack scored at 191 at Boone and Crockett. That’s a “green” score and not official, but it is a historically big deer and should land Vandenberg among the all-time best. Link to Video KCRG h/t Hawkcentral
