While the University of Missouri continues to weigh their options and figure out the best time to announce their intention to leave the Big 12 for the greener pastures of the SEC, the Big 12 is not sitting idly on their hands waiting for Mizzou to make a decision. On Tuesday, according to ESPN and Big 12 sources, the Big 12 has told West Virginia that it will soon be accepted as a member of the Big 12 conference. Original reports assumed that the invitation was contingent on Mizzou's departure to the SEC, but since, sources have suggested that West Virginia will become a member regardless of what happens with Missouri. West Virginia becomes the second Big East school that the Big 12 has poached in the past 30 days.
