Reuben Foster switched his commitment from Alabama to Auburn this week and gave almost the EXACT same statement that another recruit gave when he switched teams. Conspiracy theorists claim this was because an Auburn assistant coach (Trooper Taylor) told them too. The former Alabama Crimson Tide player claimed Nick Saban was of high moral character but the assistant coaches at Auburn were not. They talked about how Auburn pays recruits with “briefcases of money”. One of the guys even said “what do you think would happen when you move to barn country” which is a huge shot at the Auburn Tigers. The player is John Copeland and the host is Tuscaloosa News’ Chase Goodbread. They even admit that Alabama boosters were willing to pay Reuben Foster. This is just unbelievable.

The YouTube video states in the description:

WVUA reporters make allegations against Auburn. Reguarding Reuben Foster. I do not own the video in any way. All rights belong to WVUA and Crimson Cover

Here are some transcribed quotes from Copeland:

Coach Saban. Nick Saban has has proven himself to be a high character man of integrity. He has certain lines that he won't cross willingly. There are some things that may happen that he don't have a handle on. At Auburn, it's totally different. At Auburn, the head coach is not running that program. There are about four to five different [inaudible] guys in his place that are running that program...

Chase responded with:

What's that gotta do with Reuben Foster?

Copeland continued with:

Because Reuben was paid more than Alabama was willing to pay...

Reuben Foster is the number two recruit in the nation according to Rivals.com and is an inside linebacker. He lists offers from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, South Carolina, and Southern California. He is ranked number one at his position.

TROLL TIDE!

Update: Thanks to @bjmillican for pointing out that John Copeland was on the 1992 Alabama National Championship team and the host was Chase Goodbread.
