Found July 25, 2008 on Cowboys Gab:
With the auspicious release of veteran wide-receiver Terry Glenn, many Cowboys fans are left scratching their heads. With a dearth of proven talent under the letters "WR" on the depth chart the Cowboys will need a young player to step up and take some of the attention away from Terrell Owens (who relished the attention with his video from Milan). If there is one player on the roster that has grown accustomed to attention it is Adam Jones. It would not be an unfamiliar sight to see the number 21 taking snaps from both sides of the ball (and returning kicks). With two receptions in his career this wouldn't be the first time Jones lined up at the X. Combined with his propensity to catch passes from the opposing quarterback, Prime Time's protégé has shown that he has the hands for the job. Even though the boss, Jerry Jones, broached this possibility it is ultimately up to Wade Phillips.  The coach has not ruled this option out. In fact, he seems to be leaning toward the idea (I would too if the man that signs my checks thinks it's a good plan). But I wouldn't hold my breath on this one. Phillips wants to give the cornerback time to get comfortable in the new defense before he throws the monkey wrench at him. With 2,530 total yards and 5 touchdowns, Adam is definitely a threat with the ball in tow. He has an average of 18.46 yards per touch. Can you imagine that threat being on the field alongside Owens? Would you, as a fan, rather see Jones flourish defensively or is the thought of the reincarnation of Deion Sanders too good to pass up?
