Former Miss Alabama USA Katherine Webb — Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron’s girlfriend — has reportedly been offered a spot on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars.”

The New York Post reported that the 23-year-old model was overheard telling fans at a New York restaurant that she was offered a spot for the upcoming season of the show. She didn’t say whether she would participate.

Webb’s career skyrocketed starting on Jan. 7, when ESPN’s Brent Musburger complimented her on her looks during the network’s coverage of the BCS title game between Alabama and Notre Dame.

Last Friday, Webb posed for the 2013 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition at Milk Studios in New York. The magazine hits newsstands on Feb. 11. She’ll also be reporting for “Inside Edition” from New Orleans leading up to the Super Bowl on Feb. 3.

Webb, who finished in the Top 10 in the Miss USA pageant, wasn’t even on SI’s or “Inside Edition’s” radar had it not been for Musburger’s comments and all those camera shots the night of the BCS Championship Game.

During her recent visit to New York, Webb stopped by Toy restaurant for dinner. A table of women recognized her and began cheering and applauding. Webb was “initially caught off-guard,” but then opened up to her fans about some of her future plans.

The New York Post reports that the Los Angeles-based part-time model says she’ll move to New York City to pursue a full-time modeling career.

That’s a slight change from her original plan to move from Los Angeles to Alabama to be closer to McCarron. But at least she can catch a direct flight from LaGuardia Airport to see McCarron. The two have been dating since December after they met on Twitter just two months ago.
