Saturday’s ESPN College GameDay provided the latest chapter in the back and forth between Pat McAfee and Kirk Herbstreit over West Virginia.

As WVU is on the verge of delivering McAfee a bet win over Herbstreit, both of them actually selected the Mountaineers as their “super dogs” of the day. However, they both feel differently about who will win tonight’s game between West Virginia and Oklahoma.

McAfee went ahead and picked WVU to upset the Sooners while Herbstreit clarified that he only thinks Neal Brown’s team will beat the 12.5-point spread against them.

Either way, this, of course, caught the attention of West Virginia fans since the bet between the WVU legend turned media mogul and one of ESPN’s longest tenured voices of college football has been a notable footnote of WVU’s pursuit of proving doubters wrong this season. Herbstreit has also continually fed into this with his comments throughout the season.

The Mountaineers and Sooners will battle it out tonight, with the winner keeping their hopes of advancing to the Big 12 Championship game. This matchup is likely the last time these historic programs will meet on a football field as Oklahoma is exiting the conference for the SEC after the season.

Kickoff between WVU and Oklahoma is set for 7 pm ET and the game will be nationally televised on FOX.
