Isaiah Campbell successfully defended a pass to clinch the decisive stop in Lehigh's thrilling 51-44 double overtime victory over Central Connecticut State on Saturday. Campbell knocked the ball loose on a well-thrown pass that was in Scott Benzing's hands in the end zone. The textbook coverage epitomized a determined defense that got all the stops it needed to key the Mountain Hawks comeback. Lehigh (1-0) trailed by 20 with 10:46 left in the game before quarterback Brandon Bialkowski led three scoring drives to tie the game. Lehigh kicker Ryan Pandy missed an extra point to leave the score tied at 37 with 3:32 left. CCSU (0-2) had the opportunity to win in regulation. The Blue Devils drove the ball 53 yards to set up a 39-yard field goal with 22 seconds to go. Steven Calitri missed the attempt and Lehigh kneeled down to send the game into overtime.
