Found January 23, 2013 on The Cardinal Connect:
Keith Kelsey, a 6-foot-2 215-pound linebacker from Gainesville, FL., received a visit from Charlie Strong yesterday afternoon at his high school. This visit came just two days after Kelsey had traveled to Louisville for an official visit. South Florida had been looked at as the favorite for quite some time, but Louisville appears to making a strong push. Kentucky is also in the picture as well and had coaches in Gainesville to visit with Kelsey yesterday. They’re trying to lure him to Lexington for a visit this weekend. Kelsey is set to announce his decision on Monday morning at 8:30 AM at Gainesville High School.

With just four or possibly five scholarships left in Louisville’s 2013 recruiting class, Charlie Strong spent some time in New Orleans, LA., today visiting with two under the radar prospects. A couple of weeks ago I mentioned Corey Smith, a 6-foot-7 245-pound defensive end that had picked up an offer from Louisville. Smith’s teammate, Lyn Clark, a 6-foot 200-pound linebacker...

Clint Hurtt in trouble with NCAA

Last year Louisville associate head coach, defensive line coach and recruiting coordinator was named in the scandal that sent Nevin Shapiro to jail and the Miami Hurricanes to, more than likely, a major penalty by the NCAA.  Not only was Hurtt named in the scandal, but he played a major role in “woo-ing” the recruits by making sure that they got to Shapiro’s parties and yachts...
