Little Caesars Bowl Pick – HilltoppersAs kickoff approached in Hawaii on Christmas Eve, my confidence remained high as I expected to continue my winning streak. Unfortunately, Fresno State decided to make it the most lopsided loss of my season. I predicted 50 points for the Bulldogs and they could only muster 10. That being said, losing by 45 and losing by one count the same in the record book. Thankfully I was watching the game on JetBlue, allowing me the chance to watch the blowout free from mocking messages for at least a few hours. The MAC has let me down so far this bowl season with a 0-2 record. If ever there was a time to ignore my MAC bias and pick against them, this is it. Central Michigan went 4-4 in conference, with those four victories coming against teams with eight combined total wins this season. The heart of bowl season is about to begin with three or more games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. My 3-4 record will start to improve in a hurry. Get your popcorn ready.

Western Kentucky -6 vs Central Michigan 730pm – ESPN
Lance Guidry is the interim coach for WKU, with Willie Taggart taking the job at South Florida. Guidry won a bowl game with Miami Ohio two years ago in the same situation. WKU RB Antonio Andrews had a huge season and will introduce himself to a national audience tonight. QB Kawaun Jakes will make plays against a poor Central Michigan defense. The Chippewas won their final three games to reach a bowl, but faced inferior competition in November. The game being played at Ford Field in Detroit gives CMU a slight advantage, but not enough to overcome the talent disparity between these two teams. Western Kentucky has more speed and a better defense. Look for the Hilltoppers to collect their first ever bowl victory. Bobby Petrino will be pleased with the talent he is inheriting.
