B.R. Holbrook threw for 143 yards, 95 to freshman wide receiver Deon Long, but New Mexico could do little to stop Kellen Moore and the Boise State offense who beat the Lobos 45-0 Saturday.

Senior Carmen Messina set a new Mountain West Conference football mark for career tackles but was the lone bright spot as UNM fell 45-0 in its finale against No. 9 Boise State at Boise, Idaho. Messina became the Mountain West career record for tackles with his initial tackle in the first quarter. The Lobos’ starting middle linebacker finished with a career-high 21 tackles for 454 career stops.
