Former USC quarterback Matt Barkley has a lot to prove to scouts before the NFL draft. After initially saying he would participate at the combine, Barkley backed out and did not throw in front of numerous teams. Deciding to wait for what is turning out to be a make-or-break pro day at USC. While recently elaborating on his pro day plans, Barkley had this to say about his oft-questioned arm strength. Sports Glory captured these quotes.   “It’s been a long, patient journey, but I’ve had some time to recover now and I’ve been throwing quite some time at this point, to where I’ve been throwing this week [with] great velocity, great trajectory,” said Barkley via NFL.com and SportsRadioInterviews.com. “It’s starting to feel back to normal. No doubt, by the time pro day comes around, it’ll be better than it was before. I think I’ll have a stronger arm than I did.” “I haven’t really found any of this to be stressful at all,’ said Barkley. “I think you really only get anxious and nervous when you’re unprepared or you don’t trust in your future. Yeah, there are some unknowns — what’s going to happen, where I’m going to end up — but I’ve really just savored this whole process just in terms of the interviews and rehab, knowing that I’ll end up where I need to be.” We’ll have to wait and see whether Barkley’s words hold truth about his arm strength. A good showing at his pro day will solidify his draft stock.
