Defensive end Pancho Barnwell will attempt to follow in the same footsteps as fellow Rochester product Ashton Broyld and head to prep school before coming to SU. Barnwell was another in-state talent Doug Marrone wanted to keep close to home, but Barnwell’s grades are a hurdle. It scared many schools away, but Syracuse and Tyrone “Wheat the Beast” Wheatley were determined they had a sleeper.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The 41st annual Syracuse University Men’s Basketball Hardwood Banquet, sponsored by TK99, will be held on Sunday, March 4 at the OnCenter in Syracuse. Tickets are $75 per person and $750 per table of 10. Proceeds benefit the Conrad McRae Endowed Men’s Basketball Scholarship and the men’s basketball job program.
