Laquon Treadwell – espn photo Michigan Football Recruiting Update Michigan recently picked up commitment #23 when Da’Mario Jones (Westland, Michigan) pledged. He is a 3-star receiver with good size (6-2, 185) and speed (4.4). He is the third receiver to join the 2013 class (Jaron Dukes, Csont’e York). Michigan continues to recruit 4-star WR Laquon Treadwell. Cornerback Gareon Conley seems intent on taking visits to Oregon and Ohio State. This could result in him losing his scholarship offer to Michigan. I think his situation is a little different than David Dawson’s though. Remaining targets Leon McQuay III: The 5-star safety will take his official visit to Michigan for the Northwestern game. He has already visited Vanderbilt and Oregon and is planning a trip to Florida State. Derrick Green: Michigan is in good position with the 5-star running back. He is a sledge hammer of a runner and would be  perfect fit in Ann Arbor. His final schools are Michigan, Auburn, Tennessee and he has added Miami to his list. Laquon Treadwell: He is one of the elite WRs in the 2013 class. The Wolverines have long been a favorite of his and he will be taking an official visit to Michigan. According to recent reports, Treadwell no longer has Michigan as his frontrunner. Hopefully they can get him on campus for an official visit. If Michigan is looking for an offensive linemen to replace Dawson, they might offer David Knevel (Brantford, Ontario). 2014 Michigan has picked up commitments from two class of 2014 recruits. Michael Ferns (Saint Clairsville, Ohio): Ferns is one of the premiere linebackers in the 2014 class and possibly the top player in the state of Ohio. Denzel Ward (Chicago, Illinois): The 6-foot-9, 285 pound Ward is an offensive lineman with big potential.
