USA Today recently released their pre-season high school All-American selections. Michigan Football recruits were prominent on the list as the Wolverines placed 5 of their commits on the team. 2013 Preseason All-Americans George Campbell (Tarpon Springs, Florida): Campbell was one of just two juniors named to the team. The 6-foot-5, 195 pound wide receiver is ranked as the #3 overall recruit in the 2015 class by ESPN. As a sophomore, Campbell hauled in 30 receptions for 766 yards and 5 touchdowns. Mason Cole (Tarpon Springs, Florida): Cole is a high school teammate of George Campbell and he checks in at a massive 6-foot-7, 275 pounds. Drake Harris (Grand Rapids, Michigan): The 6-foot-4, 190 Harris had a sensational junior campaign with 91 catches for 2,016 yards and 23 touchdowns. Michael Ferns (St. Clairsville, Ohio): Ferns was the first member of Michigan’s 2014 recruiting class. As a junior, the 6-foot-3, 238 pound linebacker recorded 144 tackles and 4 sacks. Jabrill Peppers (photo credit: Saed Hindash/The Star-Ledger) Jabrill Peppers (Paramus, New Jersey): Peppers is quite simply a freak of an athlete, the kind of player that comes around once every decade or so. As a junior he led Paramus to the National Championship and did a little bit of everything along the way. He tallied 76 tackles and 4 interceptions on defense. On offense, Peppers compiled 1,552 rushing yards and 18 touchdowns. He also corralled 20 passes for 337 yards and 5 TDs. He is ranked the #2 player in the country by ESPN. Also making the cut was Da’Shawn Hand (Woodbridge, Virginia). He is ranked as the #1 player in the country by rivals and Michigan is considered a favorite to land his commitment on November 14th. Brady Hoke and his staff have been crushing it on the recruiting trail and USA Today’s All-American team is further evidence of just how dominant they have been.
