Michigan Football (4-0) will host Minnesota (4-1) on Saturday at the Big House. Kick off is scheduled for 3:30 and the game will be televised on ABC. For a complete game preview go here: Michigan vs Minnesota Here are the staff picks for the game Tyler Brochhagen Coming off the bye week the Wolverines have had a chance to regroup, refocus, and rest up. While I think this Minnesota team is the best they’ve had in the last few seasons, if Michigan plays the way they should (which I think they will) the Wolverines will win easily. As long as the turnover issue is corrected there is no reason Michigan can’t win this game in impressive fashion. Michigan wins 35-17 Chad Godfrey @isportsChad Chad is 4-0 picking the results of Michigan games this year. Michigan leads the all-time series vs Minnesota 72-24-3…this will be the 100th meeting between the two schools.  Michigan has won the last five games, ten of the last eleven in Michigan Stadium and 37 of the last 40 meetings.  Both Jerry Kill and Brady Hoke will find out exactly where they are in grand scheme of the Legends Division on Saturday.  Either Michigan proves it isn’t as bad as the Gophers by beating them and will be in the hunt for the division title for another week or the Gophers win and relegate the Wolverines to the bottom of the Legends barrel. For the Wolverines, I would look for more backs to make catches out of the backfield and the TE’s to be a bit more involved as the Big Ten schedule gets underway and a more focused attempt to establish a running game between the tackles to back off the pass rush of the Gopher DE’s.  For the Gophers, I like them to use more of a play-action type of scheme out of that pistol look to try to test the Michigan secondary…because I just don’t see them having great amounts of success running the ball vs that defense (2nd in the Big Ten vs the run)  There is a significant chance of some rain Saturday so I am sure that turnovers will be a key.  I like Michigan to win, but it will be close…Michigan wins 31-23. After struggling in two wins against Akron and UConn, the Wolverines have had a couple weeks to collect themselves and prepare for Minnesota. Michigan will finally put it all together in its Big Ten opener against the Gophers and improve to 5-0. Michigan has dominated the Battle for the Little Brown Jug in recent history, as they have won 21 of the last 22 meetings. Michigan wins 38-17 Rob White @isportsRob Rob is 4-0 picking the results of Michigan games this year. I’m really anxious to see how Michigan looks on Saturday. Obviously, they can’t keep turning the ball over 4 times a game and I don’t think they will. The defense is better than people are generally giving them credit for. Yes, they need to get more pressure on the quarterback and yes Jake Ryan’s return is eminent. The Gophers were manhandled by Iowa last week and spouted off about Devin Gardner this week. I guess they forgot about Gardner’s first career start at QB last year, when he lead the Wolverines to a 35-13 win at Minnesota. My gut feeling is Gardner sparkles and the defense shines. Michigan wins 38-14. Related articles Poll: What will Michigan’s record be this season?
