Michigan HC Jim Harbaugh speaks out on locker room tunnel brawl with Michigan St.

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh spoke again Monday on the locker room tunnel brawl between the Wolverines and Michigan State Spartans that happened following their game on Saturday. Harbaugh said that he expects criminal charges to be filed in the aftermath of the incident.

Michigan defeated Michigan State 29-7 at Michigan Stadium and Harbaugh says that two of his players were "assaulted after the contest."

According to a report from The Athletic, one of the Wolverines players was defensive back Ja'Den McBurrows and the Michigan coach confirmed Monday that the other was defensive back Gemon Green.

"I’m coming (at) this from the perspective of being a parent. These young men are entrusted by their families to our program and we have a responsibility to each player to treat them like our own, and I take that responsibility very seriously," he said at a news conference on Monday. "I can’t imagine this will not result in criminal charges."

The Michigan State athletics department announced on Sunday that four players -- redshirt sophomore linebacker Itayvion "Tank" Brown, redshirt sophomore center back Khary Crump, junior safety Angelo Grose and freshman defensive end Zion Young -- have been suspended.

Saturday was the second time in three weeks that there was an altercation at Michigan Stadium in the locker room tunnel. During halftime of the Wolverines' game against Penn State on Oct. 15, there was a fight between players, leading Nittany Lions coach James Franklin to criticize the setup and question its safety for players.

Harbaugh ended up placing the blame on Franklin after the incident.
