Michigan’s anticipated 2012 season opener against Alabama finished with a giant thud as the Crimson Tide rolled in a 41-14 win.
Denard Robinson was average at best in this game going 11 for 26 with 200 yards, 1 touchdown but 2 interceptions one of which was returned for a touchdown. Robinson also rushed for a touchdown getting Michigan on the board second quarter.
By that time though Alabama was already well in front of the Wolverines who could never solve the balanced offensive attack of the Crimson Tide.
In fact, Alabama’s game plan seemed pretty flawless.
Crimson Tide QB A.J. McCarron was able to sit back and just manage the game as the the vastly superior offensive line and rushing attack was able able to wear down the Michigan defense. Running back T.J. Yeldon had 11 carries for 111 yards and 1 touchdown. But when McCarron had to take some pressure off the running game he did throwing for two touchdowns on 199 yards and no picks.
Bottom line nothing good could’ve been taken out...
