Zach Lewis passed for 387 yards and three touchdowns and Desmond Cox rushed for 218 yards and two touchdowns as Morehead State defeated Butler 55-35 Saturday in the teams' season finale. The Eagles (3-8, 2-6 Pioneer Football League) piled up 669 yards of offense, surpassing the 651 they had in a 50-49 loss to St. Francis (Pa.), their previous high in Division I games this season. Morehead State was ranked fourth in total offense in the Football Championship Subdivision at 459.9 yards per game. Andrew Huck threw three scoring passes for the Bulldogs (5-6, 3-5). Cox broke free for a 92-yard run on Morehead State's first play. Lewis had a 4-yard touchdown run and a 30-yard scoring pass to Donte Sawyer in the first quarter, and touchdown passes of 61 yards to Sawyer and 28 to Cory Jackson in the third quarter. He finished the season with 28 touchdown passes.
