Maxwell Football Club just sent out a Press Release that Defensive Back David Amerson, N.C State Sophomore, the league leader in interceptions with 8, is now added on to the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List. Through the first 2 games he had 4 interceptions, and he’s only had 2 games this year with zero interceptions. Amerson is listed at 6-3 185 lbs, he’s basically a talented wide receiver playing defense. Last season Amerson was extremely quiet as a freshman, he had 50 total tackles and only 1 interception. Now this season Amerson has significantly improved and leads the interception race by 3. Bednarik Watch List Players Casey Hayward and Bacarri Rambo are tied with others in 2nd with 5.

Amerson should easily have double digits interceptions this season and hold the NC State record for interceptions (Amerson is currently tied with Art Rooney). If he can keep up this record breaking pace David Amerson could steal the Bednarik Award as a last minute add-on. The Semi-Finalist Ballot comes out November 1st and you can be sure David Amerson will be on it.

If you want to vote for David Amerson for Chuck Bednarik (Defensive Player of the Year Award) become a member of the Maxwell Football Club today, https://maxwellfootballclub.org/affiliate/1042?destination=memberships/bronze-membership
