This past weekend was another relatively quiet and uneventful schedule of games, except for West Virginia and Baylor’s basketball like game, with the Mountaineers staying undefeated winning 70-63. WV QB Geno Smith’s had another amazing performance in his Heisman campaign season by throwing 45-51 and 656 yards and 8 touchdowns. Smith used his trio of Mountaineer WRs Stedman Bailey (13 catches for 303 yards and 5 touchdowns) Tavon Austin (14 catches for 215 yards and 2 touchdowns) and J.D. Woods (13 catches for 114 yards and a touchdown) to score from every means. Two players who were overlooked in the loss for the Bears were the just as incredible. Baylor QB Nick Florence (29 for 47 and 581 yards for 5 touchdowns and one interception) and WR Terrance Williams (17 catches for 314 yards and 2 touchdowns) stayed play for play with West Virginia, but Smith got the ball last and got the necessary first downs to secure the victory.
