The 2012 season for the Buckeyes will be different namely because of the strong presence their new head coach Urban Myer brings to the program.  What does Urban Myer bring to the Ohio State program that Jim Tressel couldn't?  He brings that motivation these younger men need to grown as successful student athletes on and off the field, not saying that Jim Tressel didn't offer that at his time at Ohio State but Meyer has his players being dedicated to hard work and more dedicated to their craft as football players, and brings that strong leadership to them for them to win at the big collegiate level.

Urban Meyer's stewardship will be tested this 2012 season, since Ohio State has been banned from the the post season because of NCAA sanctions.  However, the manifestation that Urban Meyer will be coaching instead of some mainstream Offensive Coordinator from an insignificant NFL team is a huge advantage because he will make sure his players perform at a high level he believes his players can compete at if they don't, they won't play.

There should be no reason Ohio State will not win at least a substantial amount of games this season; they may not go undefeated but they will likely have a 10-2 record.  Quarterback Braxton Miller will be the biggest reason this football team does well this season, he showed a massive amount of growth basically playing pass and catch and it showed in this past April's spring game.  This is more than an appropriate offense for Miller that Urban Meyer is running, Braxton Miller ran this same offense in his high school career

Braxton Miller and the Ohio State Buckeyes has the first 4 games of the season to use to his maximum strength before they go into Big 10 play in the 6th week of the season, Ohio State starts the conference play facing Michigan State and then going on the road again to Wisconsin which are the toughest road games of the season!  If they can go 3-2 in the first 5 games of the season, a 10-2 record will be at the end of the road this 2012 season.  The buckeyes have a great substantial amount of athletes on their football team but moving into a different offense will the biggest challenge this season.

With all that examined, The Ohio State Buckeyes are in a great position to finish the 2012 season 10-2 and put themselves in a great position for them to be lined up for a shot at the National Title, very much like USC did in the past year.

Going undefeated is very implausible and that is a great way to describe it.
