Oklahoma State Star Running Back Set to be in New College Football Video Game
Nathan J. Fish-USA TODAY Sports

EA Sports College Football 25 will now have the nation's best running back.

Oklahoma State running back Ollie Gordon announced on Monday that he is going to be the new college football video game.

Several players have announced their intentions of being in the new game, but Gordon stacks up with the best addition to the game thus far.

The main reason why the game wasn't being made since 2014 was simple; players weren't getting paid for their NIL rights in the game.

With being in the new game, Gordon and players will receive $600 for their name, image and likeness and a free copy of the game.

Now that Gordon is confirmed in the game, what is the star running back's overall going to be?

Overall: 90-95

Gordon is going to be one of the top overalls in the game given that he was the nation's leading rusher last season.

His season also led to him being named the winning of the Doak Walker Award for the country's best running back.

Even if Gordon starts out as a 90-95 overall, he could jump to 99 overall by the time is the season over. He is that dynamic, and he is poised to lead the Cowboys to the college football playoff this season.

With Gordon being a high overall, several people, including OSU fans, will want to play with the Cowboys. With Alan Bowman, Brennan Presley and several others returning for OSU, expect the Cowboys to be one of the top teams in the game.

Team Overall: 85-90

According to Bill Connelly, OSU returns 77% of its on-field production in 2024, including 79% of its offensive production. That alone puts the Cowboys as one of the top offenses and teams in the game.

OSU returns 74% of its on-field production on the other side of the ball, so it will be an experienced and dependable defense in 2024.

With starters and key players returning, expect the Cowboys to start out as a top team and improve to maybe the best team in EA Sports College Football 25.
