Last week Vanderbilt was heavily criticized for not knowing the "Alma-Mater" tradition of Army after the game, by standing with them while the band played. This week an Arkansas player Marquel Wade deliberately went helmet first on a Vanderbilt punt returner who had called fair catch. This was not retribution for them dishonoring Army, this is Wade asking for a suspension.

In an upset bid of No. 8 Arkansas, Vanderbilt is tied with the Razorbacks, 28-28, in the fourth quarter. Vanderbilt has had the lead for most of the day, but Arkansas tied it when Jerry Franklin recoverd a Vanderbilt fumble and returned it 94 yards for a touchdown. The Razorbacks also converted the 2-point conversion to force the tie.
