A major donation by one of Oregon's biggest boosters will help fans exit the stadium as fast their Ducks get to the line of scrimmage.Nike founder and CEO Phil Knight is slated to donate $5 million to the University of Oregon's Autzen Stadium to help improve landscaping and accessibility features, according to The Oregonian. The project consists of the removal of existing ramps on the North face of the stadium berm, re-grading of a portion of the berm and replacement with a series of ramps that meet current ADA requirements. In addition, a series of stairs and paths will be added to facilitate the safe and efficient movement of fans and patrons up and down the North berm. Additionally, this project will enhance the berm landscaping with the addition of numerous native Northwest plants and trees, greatly improving the aesthetics of the North Face of Autzen Stadium. The work will be done by Knight's company, Phit Too LLC, who will begin construction on the site by Feb. 1. All work is expected to be completed before the start of the next football season.Oregon is currently looking for someone to fill its vacancy at the head coaching position. Chip Kelly announced this week that he was leaving the program in favor of taking the same job with the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles.
