A couple of notes just 5 DAYS AWAY FROM FOOTBALL SEASON. The first note is that Purdue is officially a sellout. As noted here last week, Whit Babcock really believes that this is going to set the all time attendance mark at Nippert Stadium. This is a word of advice to anyone going Saturday, get there at like 8 am. You can sleep in the parking lot for an hour or two if you want. If you get there late, you might miss the start of the game. By late I mean 10:30. Tommy Tuberville and Whit Babcock were quoted in the piece. Tommy T said: “I am so excited by the enthusiasm shown by the city of Cincinnati, our alumni and fans.  Our students have also really stepped up and their attendance should help push Saturday’s crowd to a record level,” Head Coach Tommy Tuberville said. “I’m looking forward to seeing everyone in the stands well before kickoff for what is going to be one heck of an environment.  I can’t wait.  Our guys are hungry to play.” If you were worried about safety on Saturday, don't be says Whit: We’ll do it safely, but we want to break the attendance record. The only issue with Saturday is going to be the whiteout. If there are no shirt giveaways, it's not going to look like that good a whiteout. I have 1 white UC shirt. It's from the Conference USA days. It says 'Lonely at the top.' I do not wear it anymore. The second note for this Monday is that there still hasn't been a starting QB named and there is a chance that won't happen until Saturday. Tuberville did drop this little bombshell, both QBs will play against Purdue. “We haven’t named a starting quarterback yet,” Tuberville said today, on the first weekly American Athletic Conference coaches teleconference. “We have two seniors that are battling it out. I haven’t  made my mind up yet whether we’re gonna even let one of them know by the time we get to the first game. Both will play.” Both will play could be a load of crap to throw off Purdue and it probably is. The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced Brendon Kay is really injured. There is a lot of film on Munchie. There is a lot of film on Kay. It's not like either are a huge mystery. If anything, Munchie starting is a bigger mystery than Kay because Munchie is probably more talented and definitely more athletic. It definitely seems that the crowd who just want to know who the QB will be is going to have to wait until Saturday. Good that that's just FIVE MORE DAYS BABY. BEAT PURDUE.
