Clint Trickett has found a familiar home. The former Florida State quarterback, who decided he would transfer on April 17, announced on his Twitter that he would land at West Virginia. "It's official, I will finish my academicathletic career at WVU," Trickett announced Tuesday. "This is a dream come true to be playing for the state I love. CountryRoads" Trickett lived in West Virginia from 2001-06 when his father, Rick, was the Mountaineers' offensive line coach. The Trickett family moved to Tallahassee in 2007 when Rick took over as Florida State's offensive line coach, a position he still holds. Clint Trickett threw for 947 yards, seven touchdowns and four interceptions in his Seminoles career. A pocket passer, Trickett stepped in to start two games when EJ Manuel was injured, and he also saw mop-up duty early in the 2012 season. He entered the spring as the No. 1 quarterback, but opted to transfer days after Jameis Winston impressed in Florida State's spring game. Trickett, a junior, has his bachelor's degree and can play in 2013. West Viginia is replacing quarterback Geno Smith, who was drafted in the second round by the New York Jets. Ford Childress and Paul Millard had been competing to win the No. 1 quarterback job.
