Let’s face it. For the first time in the 2013 season, Charlie Strong and the Louisville Cardinals went up against a good football team. Not a great team and not a team that is playing for a national championship, but a good team that has talented players to compete.
With all that said, Louisville obviously didn’t play their best football tonight, however, they did what was needed and got the victory.
Teddy Bridgewater clearly wasn’t himself, but he still was able to get the job done and led his team to a victory against a football team.
I feel like tonight is when reality should set in for Louisville fans. Despite the weak schedule, you’re not going to win every game by 50+ points. As I mentioned, Rutgers isn’t a national juggernaut, but they are a talented and well coached football team.
